Additional Object Drawing Tools

Visual CADD™ supports several objects which are useful for adding non-geometric and non-annotation information to a drawing.

• hatches - repetitive geometric patterns, usually to represent materials such as concrete, shingles, bricks, etc.
• fills - solid colors
• images - insert most graphics image types, such as a company logo
• reference frames - reference to another drawing file
• symbols - predefined symbols for re-use and easy placement
• OLE objects - insert OLE documents from other applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
• customized - limitless variety of custom add-on tools developed by the user or third parties using scripts, macros, Application Programming Interface (API), or ActiveX/COM
